Blogging can harm your employment possibilities

1 in 5 employers now uses what they find out online about you when they are making decisions about your potential employment (59% of which saying it influences their decision).

The research from business social network Viadeo is all the incentive potential candidates need to ensure that they clean up their blogs, MySpace profiles and any other information about them online that they have control over.

One survey respondent had his application for a job rejected on the basis that he "did not fit ethically" to the employer.

Well there are some cases that it may happen but I some employers do some personal background check or review some applicants profile or credentials.
