Call for IT literate executives

Based upon their findings in recent research, The Butler Group has called for big corporates to appoint directors and executives who are more IT literate - as they have found that poor IT governance is the key factor in failing IT projects.

Too many executives are still IT illiterate:
"Most boards still have directors who have their PAs print their emails out for them. They are just simply from the wrong generation. You need IT-aware executives and non-executives."
The report also emphasises the importance of IT divisions engaging with other parts of companies as they are far too inward looking.
