In the latest of many mad claims about file sharing from industry and government bodies, the U.S. Patent Office is claiming that its a threat to national security, along with it being harmful to children. The report from the Patent Office is 80 pages long, and states (very interestingly, as Slashdot reports):
"The report makes numerous references to RIAA and MPAA legal actions against file actions, as well as cites a 2005 Department of Homeland Security report that government workers had installed file-sharing programs that accessed classified information without their knowledge."
