Haven't heard of the bagle worm being mentioned for ages. Nigh on 3 years after it first hit, over 600 new variants of this mass mailer worm are being identified every day (1,000+ on busy days) according to Commtouch Software.Commtouch believes that the sheer volume of variants means that malware software cannot cope with the changes and that the worm, which was all about creating botnets for spammers, continues to spread in the wild in its many guises.
