Microsoft Anti Virus comes dead last in tests

Microsoft's much touted OneCare Anti Virus tool has come in dead last place of 17 Anti Virus tools surveyed by an Austrian Anti Virus researcher.

This is a quartely survey that tests the tools against half a million known pieces of malware, and sees how the software protects systems accordingly.

OneCare dealt correctly with just 82% of the malware detected - much room for improvement Microsoft!
"We are looking closely at the methodology and results of the test to ensure that Windows Live OneCare performs better in future tests," a Microsoft spokesperson said.
