Microsoft is investigating a potential flaw in their Internet Explorer 7 browser. The vulunerability could help the bad guys launch phishing attacks on end users.It is reported that an attacker could use an error message within the browser to send an Internet user to a fake website and get personal details accordingly.
Israeli developer Aviv Raff explains more on his website.
A Microsoft representative said they are looking into the report:
"Microsoft is not aware of any attacks attempting to use the reported vulnerability," the representative said in an e-mailed statement. "Microsoft will continue to investigate... to help provide additional guidance for customers as necessary."
