Microsoft is to launch a new version of the Xbox 360, which will include a bigger hard drive, be nice and shiny in a new black finish and with improved HD support, reports The New York Times. The Xbox 360 Elite, as it will be called is expected to be available from next month - at a list price of USD$80 more than the Xbox 360 pro and a further USD$100 more than the basic version.
Fair to say then that it's aimed at the hardcore gamer and technology guru.
Microsoft's John Rodman couldn't resist a dig at the brilliant Nintendo Wii:
"We don't feel like the Wii customer and the Xbox customer are the same thing. We think that as soon as the Wii customer turns 14 they want something else."Interesting sales tactic - calling me a 14 year old is really going to excite me about your product Mr Rodman. Not.
