The Independent this morning speculates that Virgin Media are set to complain to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) again about Sky's anti-competitive practices in removing their channels from the cable platform. The complaint is said to state that Sky's refusal to drop the price of their channels is yet more evidence of their domination of the market, and is on the back of a number of other complaints already filed.
There's still differing views from both sides:
Ernie Cormier, Virgin Media's chief commercial officer, said: "We could have walked away and not done a deal. But that would have destroyed the business."
A BSkyB spokesman said: "Running a successful pay-TV business means offering content your customers really care about."
