Been a busy day for news about Yahoo! ... bet their press office are loving the attention.Not sure that their online revenue people will be though, after news that Websense blocked the site for 2 days through an erroneous update file for their web filtering software - used by their many large customers.
Websense said of the block, which would have affected 24.5m end user computers worldwide:
"The details are still under investigation but some IP addresses associated with the Yahoo.com site were classified incorrectly"Yahoo! has also opened up an API for Yahoo! mail to the outside world - to let any developers build applications based upon it. Dare I say it, a very Google thing to do.
