Microsoft have stated that there will not be a Patch Tuesday this month, despite 9 critical flaws with Windows and some of its applications still being outstanding.Microsoft have stated that they are not happy with where the fixes are at for the critical flaws, hence no code release within the normal schedule this month. Should the code be robust in the meantime though, there may be a release ahead of April's Patch Tuesday.
A Microsoft spokesman said:
"Microsoft continues to investigate potential and existing vulnerabilities in an effort to help protect our customers."Microsoft's website covers the official announcement.
It's a welcome respite for IT managers and gives them one less thing to worry about - they're all rather busy in the states anyway with making changes ahead of daylight saving, which the US government decreed would come forward this year.
