Rumours abound that the Free Software Foundation (FSF) may ban Novell from using Linux updates due to them agreeing a deal with Microsoft - that may be in breach of the GNU General Public License (GPL), which covers Linux and other open source software - dictating how it can be used.The FSF have condemned the deal, saying that deals like this:
"make a mockery of free software, and we must do everything in our power to stop them."
