Shropshire man in online suicide

The usual reactionary coverage from some of the mainstream media this morning (including Radio Five Live) to the news that a Shropshire man hung himself after being goaded on by fellow chatroomers who thought he was kidding.

42 year old Kevin Whitrick died on Wednesday, and a policeman working on the case said:

"We are liaising with the internet service provider at this time to contact other users who were online at the time of this incident and who may have information that could assist our enquiries."
