Symantec report on Vista security

Symantec has released a series of white papers on Vista secutiry and, while not giving it a complete rubber stamp (they found some flaws), the security giant has been generally generous to the quality of the security of Microsoft's new operating system.

The research said:
"Many of the technologies that Microsoft has employed to bolster the security of Windows Vista are not new. In fact, most are derived from the groundwork originally laid by open source operating systems."
Unsurprisingly they also reported that Vista itself is not a security solution and that you need other products. From client side security vendors no doubt.
