Facebook has said take it or leave it to their 100m users worldwide with news that the site's facelift will be imposed whether the end users like it or not.Since the design was revealed 3 weeks ago the site had given users the option to adopt the new interface or not, and the predictable setting up of protest groups by sad people has occurred in response to the news being announced.
The company said:
"We can't maintain both versions, and we really think you'll like the new Facebook once you get used to the changes."They also claim that about 40m users have tried the new look, with 30m of them sticking with it.
Needless to say those moaning about it will still stick with the site, with one of those organising protests tellingly saying:
"Personally I think it's a bit rash for people to say they will leave Facebook. It is still one of the best, if not the best, social networking site on the internet. So they'll moan but not vote with their feet then.
So I will not leave. I will try to get used to it even though I don't like it, but I will try."
