Jackson breaks online sales records

In the wake of his death, Michael Jackson has shattered the previous record of 1m legally downloaded tracks in a week.

In the last week his tracks (including those from the Jackson Five) have been downloaded 2.6m times, up from just 48,000 the week previous according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Eight of his albums are in the top 10 bestsellers list and 25 of his songs are in the top 75 on the singles list - which won't surprise anyone who has been unable to get away from his songs on the radio or on TV music channels in the last week.
