The European Commission is set to rule on two of the biggest technology stories of the last year - Microsoft's search deal with Yahoo! and Oracle's proposed acquisition USD$7.4m of Sun.A ruling on the search tie up is expected on February 19, the Commission announced in Brussels yesterday.
It's thought that Oracle's Sun purchase is to be given the green light by the Commission, with the January 27 deadline fast approaching. If done, the deal would close in early February.
