Another IE flaw found

Microsoft are working on fixing another Internet Explorer (IE) flaw that could compromise users of older operating systems, only a month after they issued an 'out of band' patch to fix the flaw in the browser that caused Google's China crisis.

While not as serious as the one that caused last month's patch, this one could have a similar impact for Windows XP users visiting infected websites - however no exploitation of the flaw has yet been seen.

The problem doesn't impact users of later Microsoft operating systems as IE runs within protected mode after Windows XP.
