Kiwis hit by Aussie censorship drive

As we know, Australia are keen on cracking down on all kinds of websites that might harm their apparently fragile population if they have access to them.

An unintended knock-on effect has been reported by The Register though, with New Zealanders also being blocked from sites including the home of the NHL on the web.

The problem affects New Zealand customers of Australian ISPs, whose traffic is routed via Australia - where the filters are applied.

It will be interesting to see if the New Zealand government protests about this.
