Yahoo! chief! snubs! Google!

Speaking at an event this week Yahoo! chief executive Carol Bartz snubbed Google, claiming that Facebook is a bigger threat to them competition wise:
"Our greatest competitor probably is Facebook, more so than Google. They’re a hot site, but there's room for more than one of anything."
Bartz claimed that they once considered buying Facebook - and I bet they're gutted that they didn't now - but insisted that they also have no plans to go private in order to reduce some of the scrutiny of them as a publicly listed company.

She also claimed that their sales will "start really taking off" in 2012, but where they stand in the market by then is anyone's guess with both Google and Facebook driving ahead at a pace.
