Fake Apple stores closed

One blogger posted a remarkable story (including some incredible pictures) of three fake Apple stores that had opened up in Kunming City in China, and the fakes were so good that employees of the retail outlet actually believed they were working for Apple.

On the back of the BirdAbroad blog generating all the publicity, local trade officials investigated the story and found five fake Apple stores in the city - and two of them have now been closed as they did not have a valid business licence.

Apple themselves have made no comment on the story, but presumably their lawyers are beavering away in the background in trying to get the others closed.
