It seems to have taken a long time for Microsoft to deploy a Windows Phone version of Skype, the popular VoIP client of the company that they acquired for a whopping USD$8.5bn last year after much regulatory scrutiny, but one is "coming soon" according to the Skype division's vice president Rick Osterloh.A Windows Phone version of Skype was originally due to launch before the end of last year as a fully integrated client, and is an embarrassing omission for Microsoft at the moment in being the only major smartphone platform for which there is not currently a Skype client available for.
Osterloh added that versions for both Windows 8 and the Xbox will follow.
